Range & Oven-Combo Repair for Littleton Homes

From sealed dual-stack burners that will not light to an oven that runs 40 degrees cold, we diagnose and repair gas, dual-fuel and electric ranges across Littleton and the Southwest Denver foothills.

Range Symptoms We Fix

If your range is doing any of the following, it is a diagnosable, repairable fault, not something you have to live with:

  • Burner clicks but will not light, or the spark ignition keeps sparking after the flame catches
  • Weak, yellow or uneven flame on a sealed dual-stack burner (often an altitude or gas-flow issue)
  • Oven heats too slowly, overshoots, or runs 30 to 50 degrees off the set temperature
  • One burner is dead while the others work, or the whole cooktop is out
  • Gas smell near the range, or a burner that hisses without igniting
  • Broil element or convection fan not working in an oven and range combo
  • Knobs that spark all burners at once, or an ignition module that clicks nonstop
  • Electric or induction elements that cut out, cycle oddly, or throw an error code

Why Sealed Dual-Stack Burners Need a Specialist

Premium ranges use sealed dual-stack burners: two concentric flame rings fed through a single valve, so you get a whisper simmer and a high-BTU sear from the same burner. When the simmer ring clogs or the stack is seated wrong after cleaning, you get a lopsided flame that no amount of scrubbing fixes.

We pull and clean the burner stack, check the orifice sizing, verify the igniter position and reseat the cap so both rings light evenly. On dual-fuel ranges we treat the gas cooktop and the electric oven as two separate systems, because a bad control board can strand a perfectly good burner.

Our On-Site Diagnostic Process

Every visit starts with the $89 diagnostic service call, credited toward your repair. Here is what that hour actually covers:

  1. 01

    Confirm the complaint

We run the range the way you do, reproduce the fault and rule out simple causes like a tripped ignition lockout or a mis-set oven mode before touching a tool.

  2. 02

Test the gas and ignition path

We check incoming gas pressure, the spark module, igniter electrodes and safety valves so we know whether the problem is fuel, spark or control.

  3. 03

    Verify oven calibration

We measure real cavity temperature against the set point and test the bake, broil and convection elements or the oven sensor and control board.

  4. 04

    Quote before we repair

You get a clear starting price, from $149 for most range repairs, with the final figure set after diagnosis. We do not start work until you approve it.

Altitude Changes How Your Range Burns

Littleton sits at roughly 5,350 feet, and that matters more for a range than almost any other appliance.

Thinner air means gas burns leaner up here. A range shipped with sea-level orifices or a factory regulator setting can run a starved, low flame, take forever to preheat, or trip its safety valve. A sea-level tech often misses this and blames the burner. We check the regulator, orifice sizing and low-flame calibration for Front Range conditions, and we re-tune the simmer so a dual-stack burner actually holds a low flame instead of dying out.

Why won't my gas range burner light even though it keeps clicking?

A burner that clicks but will not light usually has a clogged burner port, a wet or misaligned igniter electrode, or a weak spark module. The clicking is the ignition trying and failing to catch a flame. Littleton Appliance Repair diagnoses this on site for an $89 service-call fee, credited toward the repair; call (720) 903-2603.

How much does range repair cost in Littleton?

Range repairs in Littleton start from $149, on top of an $89 diagnostic service-call fee that is credited toward the repair. The final price is set only after an on-site inspection, because a clogged burner, a spark module and an oven control board are very different jobs. You approve the quote before any work begins.

Does high altitude affect how a gas range cooks in Colorado?

Yes. At Littleton's elevation of about 5,350 feet the air is thinner, so gas burns leaner and a range set up for sea level can run a weak flame, preheat slowly, or trip its safety valve. Correct repair often means checking the regulator, orifice sizing and low-flame calibration for Front Range conditions rather than just swapping parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anything else — call any hour, a real person answers.

Can you repair both the cooktop and the oven on a dual-fuel range?

Yes. A dual-fuel range is really two systems in one body, a gas cooktop and an electric oven, and we service both. We diagnose them separately so a fault in one, like a bad oven control board, does not get blamed on a burner that is working fine.

My oven runs cold and burns the bottom of everything. Is that fixable?

Usually yes. Uneven or off-temperature baking most often comes from a failing oven temperature sensor, a worn bake element, or a control board that needs recalibration. We measure the real cavity temperature against the set point during diagnosis so we replace the right part instead of guessing.

Is it safe to keep using a range that smells like gas?

No. If you smell gas, shut the range off, avoid open flames and sparks, and if the odor is strong leave and call your gas utility first. Once it is safe, call us at (720) 903-2603 and we will inspect the valves, connections and ignition system before you use the range again.

Do you carry range parts on the van, or is it a second trip?

We carry common igniters, spark modules, sensors and gaskets on the van and complete many repairs in one visit. Some premium or brand-specific components, such as a particular oven control board, have to be ordered, and we will tell you that up front with a clear timeline.

A refrigerator doesn't fail on a schedule.

What Littleton Homeowners Say

Our built-in Sub-Zero was keeping the freezer fine but the upper fridge zone was sitting around 55. Turned out to be the dual-evaporator setup, exactly what the tech guessed on the phone. Brian had the sealed system diagnosed the first visit, ordered the part, and had us back to normal within the week. He didn't try to sell us a new unit like the last place did.
Marcus D.Sub-Zero Refrigerator Repair · Ken-Caryl Ranch · May 2026
One of the dual-stack burners on our Wolf range would click and click but never light. He mentioned it's common up here because the burners need to be calibrated for the altitude, which no one had ever told us. Relit perfectly after and he adjusted the others while he was at it.
Karen H.Wolf Range Repair · Roxborough Park · June 2026
Fixed our Sub-Zero the same week we called. Fair price, no upsell.
Tom R.Sub-Zero Refrigerator Repair · Littleton · March 2026
Our dual-zone wine cabinet had drifted so the bottom zone wouldn't hold temp and there was condensation collecting on the glass. They diagnosed it quickly but the part had to come from the manufacturer and took about four days, so we were without it for most of a week. Once it arrived the fix was solid and both zones are holding right where they should. Worth the wait, just be ready for the parts delay on these.
Diane M.Wine Cooler Repair · Columbine · November 2025
Miele dishwasher wouldn't drain, standing water in the bottom every cycle. Bad drain pump. In and out in about an hour and he cleaned out the filter housing that was part of the problem too.
Greg P.Miele Dishwasher Repair · Chatfield · January 2026
The door gasket on our 15-year-old Sub-Zero had gotten brittle and it was sweating around the seal. New OEM gasket and it seals like new again. Appreciated that they used the factory part instead of some universal thing.
Sandra L.Sub-Zero Door Gasket Replacement · Southwest Denver · August 2025
Thermador wall oven quit heating right before we were hosting. Called in the morning and they got someone out that same afternoon. Bad igniter. He had the part on the truck and we still made our dinner.
Anthony V.Thermador Oven Repair · Ken-Caryl Valley · April 2026
Ice maker in our Sub-Zero was making cloudy hollow cubes and barely any of them. He flushed the system, replaced a valve, and now it actually keeps up when we have people over. Nice guy, wore booties in the house without being asked.
Rebecca S.Ice Maker Repair · Littleton · June 2026
Solid work on our Bosch dishwasher, the drain pump had failed. The only thing is the $89 service call fee felt a little steep before I knew they credit it toward the repair. Once I proceeded it came off the bill, so no real complaint, just wish I'd understood that up front.
Paul K.Bosch Dishwasher Repair · Grant Ranch · September 2025
Our Viking freezer was building up a wall of frost and not defrosting on its own. Turned out to be the defrost heater. Fixed it and explained what was going on so I understood why it happened.
Michelle T.Viking Freezer Repair · Roxborough Park · December 2025
Two burners on our Wolf cooktop wouldn't spark. Tech recalibrated them for the elevation and swapped the igniters. Works better than it has in years honestly.
Dave B.Wolf Cooktop Repair · Bow Mar · June 2025
Warm upper zone on our Sub-Zero, classic apparently. They knew exactly what it was, ordered the evaporator part, and came back to install it a couple days later. Honest and easy to deal with the whole way through.
Linda F.Sub-Zero Refrigerator Repair · Columbine · February 2025
Not many people around here will even touch a Gaggenau. These guys did, got the control board sorted, and were straight with me about the cost of the part on a unit this expensive.
Christopher A.Gaggenau Oven Repair · Littleton · February 2026
Miele steam oven throwing an error and shutting off mid-cook. The tech was great and clearly knew the unit, but he ran about 40 minutes behind the window they gave me and I had to shuffle some things around. Fixed it in one visit though and it's been perfect since, so I'd still call them again.
Nancy W.Miele Steam Oven Repair · Ken-Caryl Ranch · October 2025
Had them out for our built-in outdoor grill that wasn't lighting evenly. Didn't expect them to do outdoor units but they did and dialed it in for the altitude. Grilling season saved.
Steve G.Outdoor Grill Repair · Chatfield · July 2025
Quick, clean, and they answered when I called at 9pm the night before. Dishwasher's draining again.
Jennifer O.Bosch Dishwasher Repair · Southwest Denver · July 2026
This was a big one, the sealed system on our Sub-Zero failed and that's a job a lot of shops won't take on. They did it right, used factory-spec parts, and stood behind the work. Given it's a $12k built-in I'm glad I found someone who actually knew these inside and out instead of just replacing the whole fridge.
Robert C.Sub-Zero Sealed System Repair · Marston · April 2025
Wine fridge kept fogging up on the door and the temp was bouncing around. Fixed same visit and no more condensation.
